Backstory (Work Experience)
Lightmare Studios:
Trainee| 14/01/2015 - 23/06/2015
I was employed by Lightmare as part of a traineeship I was completing in tandem with my year 12 studies. During this time I was tasked with learning about the studios own game design pipeline and processes, quality assurance testing, bug squashing and gameplay tester.
Freelance/Indie Game Developer:
Gameplay Programmer/System Designer| 13/02/2016 - present.
I started my freelance journey when I began my higher education with my Bachelors degree in game design. Since then I have released a self published title, following which I provided support to dev teams in my communities and I am currently working on what will be my 2nd indie title. As per my post-graduate education (Masters Degree), I specialise in gameplay programming and systems design, but have touched almost all aspects of the game design process.
Code Camp:
Teacher| 01/06/2018 to 01/01/2021.
Starting as a teaching assistant, then promoted to teacher. Teaching children ages 8 and up how to program for and design video games using a web-based engine and block code editor.
